Who Can Attend? (Prerequisites)
This is an advanced-level course for experienced laser practitioners. Given the high-risk nature of treating darker skin tones, prerequisites are strictly enforced.
- Mandatory Prerequisite: Certification in a foundational laser course (e.g., Laser Hair Removal) AND a minimum of 3-6 months of hands-on experience operating lasers in a clinical setting.

- Assessment & Examination
- Theory Examination (Day 2):
- A written exam with multiple-choice and complex, scenario-based questions.
- Must achieve a passing grade of 90% or higher.
- Focuses on wavelength selection, contraindications, PIH prevention, and complication management.
- Practical Case Study Assessment (Day 2):
- Participants are presented with detailed client profiles (including photos, skin type, and concerns) and must develop a full treatment plan, including:
- Laser device and wavelength recommendation.
- Justification for parameters (fluence, pulse duration, spot size).
- Pre- and post-treatment care plan.
- Identification of potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Assessed on safety, clinical reasoning, and appropriateness of the plan.
- Participants are presented with detailed client profiles (including photos, skin type, and concerns) and must develop a full treatment plan, including:
- Certification
- A Certificate of Advanced Specialization in "Laser Therapy for Melanin-Rich Skin".
- This certifies that the holder has demonstrated advanced competency in the safe application of laser and energy-based devices on Fitzpatrick Skin Types IV-VI. This certification is a mark of a true specialist in the field.
